The SCC-DW1 duct lagging uses a 1 lb per square foot MLV barrier with a reinforced foil facing on one side — delivering STC 27 performance in a thin, easy-to-install roll format. Acoustic duct lagging is a simpler, thinner solution focused purely on MLV sound blocking for ducts and pipes. It wraps directly around the duct surface and secures with matching lag tape — ideal when the primary goal is noise blocking without added insulation thickness. Our Acoustic Duct & Pipe Wrap adds a quilted fiberglass decoupler layer for higher STC performance and thermal insulation value when both are needed.
